For all of you who actually read this thing, I thought I’d share a little bit about my experience of running a half-marathon this past weekend. Let me first start off by saying…it was TOUGH. Probably up there as the hardest things i’ve ever done in my life, but also let me tell you that it was the most REWARDING thing i’ve ever done, hands down. (and i’ve completed some pretty awesome things) It was a battle within myself, both physical and mental. Perhaps that was because I wasn’t nearly as well-trained as I should have been or perhaps because I had never faced a hill before the race day. One thing I know for sure though is I would have never been able to complete it without a) determination and b) mental strength.
The entire time I was focused on positive thinking, yelling words at myself that sparked an emotion inside of me, pushing me to go on. My legs wanted to give out so bad and at times I almost walked, but then I just remembered all those hours I’d trained for this and how much this meant to me to finish it. I didn’t care what time I got, it was more about the process and getting to the point where I could finish something as awesome as this. I was absolutely not going to give up, I started this and damn sure I was gonna finish it. The mental strength doesn’t come easy, I’ve trained for years, but what is most important is to realize that impossible is nothing to those who believe & have the mental strength to get through it. You can do absolutely ANYTHING you set your mind to. Ask me a year ago if i’d ever run over 5 miles and I woulda laughed in your face, yeah right was I able to do that. All it took was determination, the determination to love the process and love your body.
Running has not only changed my body, but it has taught me that nothing is ever obtained without hard-work and determination. oh and don’t forget…YA GOTTA LOVE IT!! <3
healthy is classy. couldn’t of said it better!

stop trying….START DOING!
there is such a big difference. forget short-term diets, they don’t change you.
lifestyle changes DO.
